FIVE RIVERS FRIENDSHIP FORUM

As we celebrate seventy-five years of our independence (and partition) of the Indian Sub-continent in August 1947, it is also striking that the vision outlined by the founding fathers of the modern states of India and Pakistan remains unfulfilled and yet to be redeemed.

“Five Rivers Friendship Forum” is an endeavor to engage immigrants who trace their origins from both sides of “Radcliffe Line” – the border between India and Pakistan. We feel that even as the two countries develop their distinct identities, it is worthwhile to celebrate our shared history, culture, religions and sacred places, literature, poetry and architecture.

Five Rivers Friendship Forum is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that will strive to become a forum for networking and incubator of ideas that will enhance mutual respect and understanding between the people from the Sub-continent.
